Chardonnay 2016 Dry Creek Valley
A Chardonnay from Dry Creek that blends old-world with new-world... Aged in used French oak to create a near perfect balance of fruit, texture, and acidity. An amazing white wine with aromatics of Meyer lemon chiffon plus wisps of minerality.
This has the brightness of a French Burgundy, with the textures of a Russian River chardonnay. The acid and fruit are so broad that you’ll be confused when you realize it’s Californian. The lip-smacking minerality is uniquely unctuous and viscous but not cloying.
For white wine drinkers that are looking to blow their minds with near perfection... and like the great French whites, this will drink and age beautifully until 2019-2027.
Before Covid struck, two New York city Michelin-starred restaurants wanted it on their lists. Too bad for them because we don't make enough... By the way, we only make Chardonnay every few years... when the timing is perfect and the potential spectacular... . 126 cases produced. SOLD OUT!!!
